Research and Policy

UNJUST undertakes research and spotlights issues by collaborating with the people most impacted by discriminatory policies and practices. In order to amplify the voices of those often unheard, we promote speaking truth to power and actively support people directly affected by the Criminal Legal System to participate in civic spaces and policy-making processes.

To provoke change in policing and public safety, UNJUST's policy development work and advocacy campaigns aim to stimulate thinking and spur action. Utilising our established relationships with elected officials, policymakers, lawyers, academics, civil society partners, and impacted communities, we seek to ensure that our Research, Policy, and Advocacy activities influence the public's thinking and the decisions made by statutory bodies.
